To run faster, try unequipping your gun and equipping the knife. Doing so will allow you to run significantly faster.
Unlockable: Harder Difficulty
To unlock a harder difficulty setting than is originally available in the game, you must beat the game once through on the Normal or Hard difficulty setting.
